Android News: Motorola updates 4.0 upgrade plans Android

The news comes from Motorola Ice Cream Sandwich timeline that was updated today. Motorola says that both Droid and Droid RAZR mix RAZR owners should the update in Q2, the owners now have a window of only about a month and a half expect to look mean.

The last time we heard about Motorola's plans, its line of devices to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade, it was pretty vague, if the upgrades would reach for many of the smartphones and tablets on the list. Now the company has provided information about their current plans are available, and it can also release some of the updates before this quarter is out.

The RAZR mix RAZR and DROID Verizon Wireless are now planning to upgrade before the end of the 2nd Quarter will receive this year. The owners of the DROID XYBOARD 8.2, DROID XYBOARD 10.1, XOOM with 3G/4G connection, DROID BIONIC, DROID 4, 2 and Matrix ATRIX 4G will have to wait until Q3 before its updates are due to arrive. The PHOTON 4G to see his update in Q4, while the poor Electrify still in the evaluation, as to when it will be upgraded from Android 2.3.

Motorola's entire portfolio of devices, the Wi-Fi-only edition of the Zoom tablet is the only one that has not yet updated to Android 4.0, which it received in January of this year.

Motorola announced the Android 4.0 update for Ice Cream Sandwich, the original Droid RAZR phone's memory before the start of November. So, needless to say, it was a long wait for the software. Droid RAZR mix owners have it a little easier than the phone only since February.

The manufacturer has promised, however, that the update would be in the coming weeks, and we seriously doubt the owner thought they were going to wait until May or June in order to get the software.
